Privacy Policy
This policy explains how MasterBlocks Pvt Ltd ("we", "us") handles personal data when you use KB Builder and its website, kb-builder.com. We collect only what the service needs.
What we collect
- When you ask for product updates or download the template: your email address.
- When you have an account: your name, email address, a hashed form of your password, workspace name, and the plan you are on.
- What you add to build a knowledge base: the website address, the pages we read from it, documents you upload, notes and answers you type, and the knowledge base files we write. This is information about a business. Please do not add personal data about the business's customers or patients (see the Terms).
- Payments: Razorpay processes your payment. We receive the payment status, the amount, and the details needed for a GST invoice. We never see or store your full card number or UPI PIN.
- Technical records: the pages you visit on the app, the time of each request and errors, kept to run and secure the service. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data. The app uses a cookie only to keep you signed in.
Why we use it
To build and store your knowledge bases, to run your account and plan, to send you service emails (email confirmation and password reset links, receipts, invitations) and, only if you asked for them, product updates. You can unsubscribe from updates at any time.
Who we share it with
Only the services that run KB Builder for us, each used for its job alone:
- OpenAI, whose AI models read the website pages and documents you add and help write the knowledge base. It receives that content, not your account details. It is processed in the United States under OpenAI's API terms.
- Our hosting and database providers, which store the service and its data.
- Our email provider, which delivers the emails we send you.
- Razorpay, which takes payments.
We may also disclose data when the law requires it. We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
As long as your account is open. When you delete a knowledge base, its content is removed from the live service at once and from backups within 30 days. When you close your account, we delete its content the same way and keep only what the law requires, such as payment and tax records. Early-access details are deleted when you ask or when the early-access list closes.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop sending you updates. Write to info@masterblocks.co.in from the address on your account. We reply within 30 days.
Grievance Officer
If you have a concern about how your data is handled, write to our Grievance Officer: Grievance Officer, MasterBlocks Pvt Ltd, Office No. 1, 1st Floor, Brahma Estate Complex, NIBM Road, Pune 411048, India. Email info@masterblocks.co.in. We acknowledge a complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within 30 days.
Security
Data travels encrypted, access is limited to the people who run the service, and passwords are stored only as one-way hashes (Argon2id), so no one, including us, can read them. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Children
KB Builder is a business tool for adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top and, for significant changes, email you first.
